Samsung has added another budget smartphone in their Galaxy J series, which is named as Galaxy J3 Prime. Samsung has already gained a lot of popularity because of Galaxy J2 which has been very successful in Asian countries. Now Samsung has routed the same path and has launched J3 Prime with improved specifications. Galaxy J3 Prime has been priced ar Rs. Rs. 8,990 in India and is available in Black color only.
The build quality of the phone is average with typical Samsung’s plastic body which is found in mid-range Samsung smartphones. J3 Prime runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, which is the prime attraction of this phone. It does support both 3G and 4G networks with the maximum download speed of 150Mbps in LTE. The phone has a 5.0 inch IPS display which carries a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The phone is quite sleek and measures 8.7 mm thickness and weighs around 148 grams.

Galaxy J3 Prime is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 chipset with 1.4GHz quad-core processor accompanied with Adreno 308 GPU. It has 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Samsung has also provided a memory card slot which can support microSD card up to 256GB. Overall, the performance of the phone is normal and it will do all the day-to-day tasks without any lag. As J3 Prime is an entry level phone, it is not meant for heavy gaming, though it can handle small games like Candy Crush, Angry Birds, etc without any problem.
As far as the camera is concerned, Samsung has equipped a 5MP lens on its back with a LED flashlight. On the front, it has a 2MP camera for decent selfies. Other than this, J3 Prime comes with an FM Radio, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS and power saving mode. The phone is backed with a 2600mAh battery which can deliver up to 240 hours of standby time or 18 hours of calling time.
