Huawei has just introduced Honor Play Tab 2 8.0 inch and 9.6-inch variants. Both the devices carry same hardware specifications except for the screen size, even the resolution of both the screens are same, i.e. 720p. The 8-inch tablet is priced at Rs. 7600, while the 9.6-inch tablet is priced at Rs. 9400. The devices will be available in Grey and Silver color. They both come pre-installed with Android 7.0 Nougat with company’s custom UI.
It comes with support for SIM as well as Wi-Fi. The SIM variant is 3G and 4G enabled. These tablets feature respective IPS screen size with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 chipset with the 1.4GHz Quad-Core processor. The graphics are handled by Adreno 308 GPU. It will come with 2GB and 3GB version with 16GB and 32GB of internal storage. It also has support for microSD card up to 128GB.

The camera of these devices are very basic like other tablets. The primary camera is mere 5MP without any flash while the front camera is 2MP. To power up the device, it is packed with 4800mAh Li-Po battery. The battery can deliver around 500 hours of standby time. Other features include Wi-Fi, GPS, USB port and a 3.5mm audio port.
The build quality is above average with Aluminum Metal body design and Sandstone Pattern Finish Back. Overall Honor Play Tab 2 is a good tablet for normal day to day tasks with nice battery backup.
